This policy explains what data we collect when you use Dura, what we do with it, and the rights you have over it under UK GDPR. We've kept it as short and plain as we could.
Who we are
Dura Events Ltd is a company registered in England. In this policy "Dura", "we", "us" and "our" mean Dura Events Ltd. We are the data controller for personal data collected through this website. You can contact us at durainc19@gmail.com.
What we collect
We only collect information you give us, or that we need to run the booking. That means:
- Identity and contact details when you make an enquiry or get in touch: your name, email address, phone number if you choose to share it.
- Booking details: the event type, date, guest count, budget, area and any preferences you tell us about.
- Payment details when you pay a deposit. Card details are handled directly by our payment provider. We never see or store your card number.
- Website usage data: basic information your browser sends, such as IP address, device type, pages you visited and how you got to our site. We use this to understand how Dura is being used and to fix problems.
Why we collect it
We use your information to:
- Respond to your enquiry and arrange your booking with the venue.
- Send you booking confirmations, payment links and event details.
- Reply to messages you send us.
- Improve the website and the service.
- Meet our legal and tax obligations.
Our lawful basis for processing your data is performance of a contract (your booking), our legitimate interest in running a marketplace, and your consent for things like marketing emails.
Who we share it with
To make a booking happen, we share necessary details with the venue you're booking. That's the only third party who sees the specifics of your event.
We also use a small number of trusted service providers to run the website itself: hosting, email delivery, payment processing and analytics. They only access what they need and they only use your data on our instructions.
We don't sell your data. Ever. To anyone.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry and booking data for as long as needed to run the booking and meet legal obligations (typically up to seven years for financial records). Marketing data is kept until you ask us to stop using it.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- Ask for a copy of the data we hold about you.
- Correct anything inaccurate.
- Ask us to delete it (where we don't have a legal reason to keep it).
- Object to certain types of processing.
- Ask us to stop sending marketing.
- Complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
To use any of these rights, email durainc19@gmail.com. We'll respond within a month.
Cookies
We use a small number of cookies. The full list is on our Cookies page.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we change anything material, we'll update the "last updated" date at the top and let you know if it affects you directly.
